“Nirvana Memorial Garden” is a beautiful garden by the Nirvana Asia Group that has been built with hundreds of millions ringgit. Meanwhile, The Chinese Calligraphy Stone Gallery is located at such magnificent garden. Here, there are ancient and splendid pavilions which offer you various kind of services, for example, stone rubbing technique of calligraphy tablets, learning Chinese calligraphy, tea ceremony demonstration, painting and calligraphy exhibition, and etc. At the same time, there are numerous calligraphy stone tablets which lead you through the evolution of Chinese characters from Oracles Bone Scripts to modern Chinese characters, master pieces from different China dynasties like Dynasty Xia, Dynasty Shang, Dynasty Zhou and etc, as well as large number of great works by local and international late celebrities. All of these 138 calligraphy stone tablets are evaluated and identified by experts, then they are being rubbed, and engraved by the experts from Quanzhou, China after that.
This is the monument of The Chinese Calligraphy Stone Gallery which is the symbol of this beautiful and magnificent garden. The wordings on the monument are written by the international famous China calligrapher, Mr. Zhou Junjie from Zhengzhou, Henan. The animal under the monument is known as Bixi, however, most of the people are looking it as a tortoise. According to Chinese legend, Bixi was the eldest son of the nine sons of Chinese Dragon, and it was also called Baxia. Generally, you will see Bixi under a monument. This is so called “The Holy Tortoise with Giant Stone at The Back”. However, this is a good sign which brings fortune and longevity. It is said that anyone who touches Bixi will be granted good fortune and blessing.
